Common questions from biomed and supply chain teams

Do you support our existing biomed team or replace them?

We augment. Topcon field service engineers co-own Tier 2–3 escalations; your in-house team retains Tier 1 first response and local change control.

How do you handle FDA recalls on our installed base?

UDI-driven recall sweeps target acknowledgment within 48 hours of an FDA Class I/II notice, with lot mapping against your asset register.

Will you work with our existing CMMS (Nuvolo / Maximo / Connectiv)?

Yes — we publish work orders into your CMMS via REST API or HL7 FHIR where the facility has approved the integration path.

What is covered under a HIPAA BAA when you remote into our equipment?

A Business Associate Agreement is executed before any remote session; PHI is not logged or stored on Topcon Healthcare general inquiry systems.
